A pro-choice anthem, Vixen is about body autonomy in an age where rights to abortion are under fire.
Initially released on 'Sustained Resistance', Maelstrom and Louisahhh were delighted to invite Cate Hortl (Oktober Lieber) to remix this powerful track, and the results are magnificent.
Cate Hortl sets afire this remix inferno with touches of modern italo, heavy-footed dark pop and ecstatic techno elements.
lyrics
Vixen, the hounds are coming
Vixen, the hounds are coming
Cut my legs from under me
So much for my aunt on my
It’s like the dogs can smell the blood
You treat me like it’s all my fault
Vixen the hounds are coming
Vixen the hounds are coming
Am i just your organ donor
Is my organ my whole life
It doesn’t matter what i wanted
Make me a vessel for your strife
Vixen the hounds are coming
vixen the hounds are coming
Vixen the hounds are coming
Vixen the hounds are coming
Kill the plant to spite the seed
You know no good will come of this
I do really feel so sorry
But i don’t regret what i did
Vixen the hounds are coming

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
