A contemporary lament and a subversive love song, equal parts body horror and fierce hope, If I Could Hold is the first single from longtime collaborators Maelstrom and Louisahhh’s eagerly anticipated debut album. After a decade of making music together, the creative partners (each with a prolific output in their own right) are delighted to announce to the world their first LP, Sustained Resistance, with this pounding anthem.

A banging, self-deprecating confession, the prismatic If I Could Hold stomps with hints of the duo’s EBM influences as Louisahhh’s voice seethes and roars along the gritty, rolling grind of Maelstrom’s stabbing, distorted melodic lines. This ferocious track is just the first taste of an album that holds power and truth in equal measure. Sustained Resistance will be released on RAAR on February 10, 2023.
